REFERRED PERSON GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Referred Person must be the primary owner of the new eligible personal or business checking account, age 18 years or older, and may not be or have been the primary owner of any Peoples Bank personal or business checking account within the previous six months.
REFERRED PERSON PERSONAL CHECKING ACCOUNT OFFER: To receive a $50 Visa® Virtual Reward, the Referred Person must: (1) register for the offer using the link shared in the referral email or on social media, (2) open a new sole or joint account ownership Peoples Bank Essential Checking or Personal Relationship Checking account (subject to approval) within 180 days of completing the referral registration and (3) meet the following requirements within 60 days of account opening:
- Complete ten (10) or more qualifying debit card purchases, and
- Complete one (1) qualifying direct deposit of $250 or more.
Qualifying debit card purchases must be posted and settled to the account within 60 days of account opening. A qualifying direct deposit is defined as funds electronically received from a third-party, such as payroll, pension, or government benefits (Social Security). Non-qualifying direct deposits for this offer include wire transfers, returned ACH or deposit items, and transfers from one account to another. For example, transfers between your own Peoples Bank accounts or person-to-person transfers, deposits made at a branch, ATM, or through mobile deposit do not qualify The checking account must remain open and maintain a positive balance (above zero) during the qualifying reward period (60 days) to receive the Visa® Virtual Reward. Once the requirements of this offer have been met, the Referrer will earn a $50 Visa® Virtual Reward.
BUSINESS CHECKING ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS: To receive a $150 Visa® Virtual Reward the Referred Person must: (1) register for the offer using the link shared in the referral email or on social media, (2) open a new Peoples Bank My Business, Essential Business, Business Relationship Checking, Business Analysis Checking, or Community Checking account (subject to approval) within 180 days of completing the referral registration and (3) complete at least four deposits of $500 or more within 60 days of account opening.
The account must remain open and maintain a positive balance (above zero) during the qualifying reward period to receive the Visa® Virtual Reward. Once the requirements of this offer have been met, the Referrer will earn a $150 Visa® Virtual Reward.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please allow 2-3 weeks after completion of all requirements for delivery of the Visa® Virtual Reward. For Referrers, Visa® Virtual Rewards will be emailed to the email address provided during the registration process; for the Referred Person, Visa® Virtual Reward will be emailed to the email address provided at account opening.
Visa® Virtual Rewards are subject to terms and conditions delivered with the reward, valid for three (3) months from the date of issuance, and may be redeemed at internet, mail order, and telephone merchants wherever Visa® debit cards are accepted. Visa® is a registered trademark of Visa® Inc. Visa® is not a participant or sponsor of this promotion.
A maximum of one Visa® Virtual Reward will be awarded to the Referred Person regardless of the number of accounts opened.
This offer is not available to employees of Peoples Bank.
The Visa® Virtual Reward can only be issued to individuals/authorized signers with a valid U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number and may be reportable as income for tax purposes. Please consult a tax advisor to understand your obligations.
The Referrer authorizes the sending of communications to each Referred Person. The email may not be recovered if the person has opted out of marketing materials from Peoples Bank or Refer Live. Each person who registers with Refer Live authorizes future communications including emails regarding the program unless they opt-out/unsubscribe by making an election at Refer Live or within such email. The Referred Person acknowledges that a Visa® Virtual Reward will be issued to the Referrer after all conditions are met in the time limits provided.
